By attending classes from Organic Industrial Pollutants, students will be introduced to the physical and chemical properties of organic industrial pollutants, their distribution in the environment, and how they negatively affect the physical and chemical transformations that occur in the air, water, and soil, with special emphasis on their bioaccumulation and biomagnification in the food chain and risks to the eco-system and human health.
After passing the exam Organic Industrial Pollutants , the student is expected to form a critical attitude towards the negative impact of a human, who has caused serious difficulties in the functioning of the biosphere, and to contribute to the improvement of quality of the environment through the application of acquired knowledge in different laboratories using known, but also by developing new methods for the detection and identification of organic pollutants by analyzing real samples. It is expected that such a candidate will successfully perform tasks in a specific control, developmental industrial or research laboratories that deal with impact analysis and environmental protection, as well as to objectively adopt, evaluate and present research results. Also, based on the acquired skills of analysing and modelling, one will be able to propose activities that contribute to better environmental protection, such as proposing new technological processes in which environmentally harmful products will not be created, and in that way, would make a significant contribution to the conservation and sustainable development of the environment.
